Foundation Fall Gala October 16th (6:00 pm - 11:00 pm) The Jones River Trading
The Kingston Education Foundation (KEF) and the Kingston Parent Teacher Organization (KPTO) have teamed up this year to host the Fall Gala together with 100% of the proceeds from the Gala going directly back to our KES and KIS teachers and classrooms. Last year's event was a huge success and so much fun. We hope that you can all join us again this year. The fantastic Giving Tree will be back as well as the silent and live auction items. Given the feedback we received from last year, we know that this year's event will sell out. Cost is $75 per ticket again this year which includes dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions. We will reserve tables again this year for those that want to sit together.
This year, we are very excited to have "One of Boston's Best". In a city famous for great comedians, that's how The Boston Globe described Mike Dorval. Mike has been featured in Comedy Central's Laugh Riots, numerous television commercials, and stars in the upcoming independent film, "Dick Spicketts". Most recently he toured overseas for the USO, entertaining thousands of US military personnel abroad and released his first live comedy album entitled, "We need to talk…".
Mike will be performing a short routine as well as being the emcee for our live auction. Prepare to laugh and enjoy bidding on some great items!

You can help now by participating at any level in our Adopt-a-PC program. Please take a look at our Fundraising page to see how we are attempting to meet our short term and long term goals. Please visit our Sponsors page to see a list of our contributors.
Why?
KES and KIS have a current ratio of 36 children per PC. This ratio is reached by taking the current inventory and removing any PCs older than 5 years and those that are not accessible to students. State standards say that the ratio should be no more than 5 students per PC and that they should be replaced after no more than 5 years. Many PCs in the classrooms don't work or are as old as 13 years old. We need 144 new PCs to meet the State's minimum standards. The Kingston community is capable of changing inequities.

KEF and the Kingston Parent Teacher Organization
The Kingston Education Foundation is not affiliated with the School Administration, School Committee or the KPTO. The KEF was created to directly benefit the children at KES and KIS, however, with focus on science and technology. The KPTO has a similar mission with a focus on enrichment and parent involvment in the schools. Everyone in the KEF wants to ensure that the KPTO continues to thrive especially in the current economy. It is very important that families support the KPTO so that their programs continue. While the KEF needs your help in meeting our important goals, we ask that you not allocate all of your educational giving to the KEF. Please continue to support the KPTO through their various fundraisers throughout the school year.
